At Ascot yesterday the progressive handicapper Crack On Crack On ( Pictured above by Michael Harris ) came from last to first to win the Porsche handicap under a strong ride from Adam Kirby, in the Paul and Clare Roooney colours. The Clive Cox trained colt had previously run in the Brittania at the Royal meeting finishing mid division, but made amends on this occasion. The son of Havena Gold was bought by KRB at Goresbridge Breeze Up sales from Horse Park Stud, and he was recording his third success and looks like he could be a Black type performer in time.

The Rooneys had two more winners purchased by KRB last week. Kick On Kick On winning after a long absence to win the sprint handicap at Windsor for the Cox, Kirby combination. He may now go to Glorious Goodwood next week. Alfie’s Choice followed up on his previous success at Cartmel by winning the handicap hurdle in good style for trainer Keith Dalgleish. He also looks a progressive young horse for connections.

Wee Tiger, a KRB foal purchase won his second race in a row at Limerick for trainer Ray Hackett, ridden by amateur Eoin O’Brien, and    could run again at the Galway festival next week.

Also a KRB foal purchase was the previous seven time winner Shantou Village, who came a credible third in the Listed Summer Plate handicap Chase giving lots of weight away to his rivals.

Lots  of racing next week with Goodwood, Galway and Perth so plenty to look forward  to for KRB.
