Penny Jane the latest Black Type Winner for KRB

Penny Jane returned after a break to win the handicap chase in Galway short of two weeks ago for Paul and Clare Rooney, Gordon Elliott and ridden by Denis O’Regan, then she followed up yesterday in Cork to win the Coopsuperstores.ie Handicap chase ( Grade B). This was the latest black type winner for KRB, being bought by them as a store in the Derby sale. The daughter of Kings Theatre was winning for the sixth time for connections.

I’ll Have Another has also been in good form finishing a close second in the Zetland Stakes ( Listed) 2yo in Newmarket, and third in the Silver Tankard Stakes ( Listed ) 2yo at Pontefract today. She has been a very consistent filly all season for the Rooneys and there is much to look forward to with her for next season.

Other recent winners for KRB are Alfie’s Choice who won his third hurdle for the Rooneys and Keith Dalgleish. He was a store purchase from the Land Rover sale.

Another Frontier jumped superbly to win the handicap chase in Uttoxeter for Nigel Twiston – Davis, for Jump for Fun Racing and ridden by Jamie Bargery.This was his third success since being bought as a store.

Caerleon Kate a cheap purchase from Tattersalls HIT sale won for Colin McBratney, the Templeburn Racing syndicate and Denis O’Regan, staying on strongly to win in Downpatrick.

Slippery Serpent won for the fourth time in the handicap hurdle in Punchestown for Edward O’Grady, and the Friends of Maria syndicate. He was purchased by KRB as a foal.

Also purchased as a foal was Thistle Do Nicely who won on his hurdling debut at Wincanton for Jamie Snowden. Thistle Do Nicely was the previous winner of a bumper for Tom Lacey.

Another horse winning on his hurdling debut was the exciting Good Boy Bobby. He was the winner of three bumpers last season and jumped well to win his first hurdle at Carlisle under Sam Twiston- Davis for his father Nigel, for Paul and Clare Rooney. He was another store purchase by KRB.
