The consistent two year old Good Vibes continued her good season by winning the Cornwallis Stakes ( Group 3) at Newmarket on Friday staying on strongly close home. Good Vibes was bought as a yearling by KRB for Paul and Clare Rooney, and she has been superbly trained by David Evans providing him with his first Group winner in nine years.
The Rooneys horses continue to run well under both codes with the highly talented Alright Sunshine winning at Ayr under Joe Fanning for Keith Dalgleish. This was Alright Sunshine’s seventh win since being bought by KRB as a yearling. Newtown Boy won the Novice Chase at Kelso also for Keith Dalgleish. The six year old was bought as a store by KRB.
Longtime clients of KRB Imperial Racing have some lovely horses for the season ahead, and yesterday the promising Imperial Aura ran a big race on only his third start over hurdles to be third in the Silver Trophy H’cap hurdle ( Grade 3) at Chepstow. They also had a recent winner on the flat at Hamilton with Art of Diplomacy winning on his handicap debut for Mick Easterby under a good ride from Nathan Evans. Art of Diplomacy was bought by KRB as yearling.
There was a very deserved success for Ordinary World when taking the Chase in Ballinrobe recently. He has consistently run well in top company in the last few seasons being placed in many Grade 1’s. He has been a terrific serveant for Henry De Bromhead and Chris Jones since being bought by KRB as a store. Chris has also some lovely horses for the season ahead.
First Impression won the two year old maiden in good style at Ayr for John Quinn. He looks a promising horse horse for next year for connections. He was bought by KRB at Goresbridge Breeze Up Sale.
Unexpected Depth continued his good form by winning the handicap hurdle at Listowel for Oliver McKiernan and Keep the Faith syndicate. He was bought by KRB after winning his point to point and looks a nice horse for the future.
Snookered again made all to win the handicap hurdle at Sedgefield for Brian Ellison and his Racing Club under a positive ride by Henry Brooke. He was also bought by KRB as a yearling.
Wayfinder easily won the bumper at Worcester for Rebecca Curtis and James Bowen. The son of Shantou was bought by KRB as a foal.
