It has been a great couple of months for KRB purchases with lots of winners, but the highlight has to be the win of Isabella Giles in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood by a wide margin. After her maiden win,she followed up at Newbury under a penalty to win again, this was followed up by a close fourth in the Princess Margaret Stakes, before stepping up in trip to win the Prestige. Owned by Paul and Clare Rooney and trained by Clive Cox, Isabella Giles has a couple of nice end of season entries. She was bought by KRB as a yearling in the Goffs Sportsman’s sale.

The Rooneys horses have been running well and a couple of KRB breeze up purchases have won for them recently. Willy Nilly won at Bath and then followed up at Salisbury for Clive Cox, and  I Can’t Remember stayed on strongly to win at Newcastle for Keith Dalgleish.

Also for the Rooneys, Our Girl Sheila won at Hamilton under Jamie Gormley for Karl Burke.

Other KRB winning flat purchases recently include Snookered, Cormier ,and Potenza. They were all bought as yearlings, Snookered was winning for the ninth time, this time at Catterick for Brian Ellison. Cormier also won at Catterick for Brian Ellison for owner Kristian Strangeway, this was his second win in the last few weeks, and looks a nice prospect for the future. Potenza recorded his third career success when winning for James Eustace at Haydock for The MacDougall Two.

Supakalanistic bought as a store for Jump For Fun Racing had previously had won three hurdle races, won a flat maiden in Chepstow for Nigel Twiston Davis under a confident ride by Tom Queally.

Past Cheltenham Festival winner Croco Bay unfortunately passed away recently, he was a terrific servant for Ben Case and Lady Jane Grosvenor. The same connections have a little tonic with the hat trick of wins for the improving horse Kings Temptation all at Uttoxeter. He was a KRB foal purchase and he has now won on six occasions.

Templepark is another horse in good form having won twice over hurdles recently for Fergal O’Brien. He has now won four times since being bought by KRB at the Goffs Uk Aintree sale.

Fergal also trains Imperial Elysian who completed a three timer at Southwell over hurdles for Imperial Racing, he was a store purchase by KRB.

A KRB favourite is The Storyteller, the former Grade 1 winner and Cheltenham Festival winner has been in great form. He pulled up early in the Galway Plate, but easily won The Arthur Guinness Chase a few days later, and he has since followed up at Galway over hurdles giving lots of weight away to the second, on both occasions ridden by Keith Donoghue for trainer Gordon Elliott.

Get Back Get Back won over hurdles at Uttoxeter for Harry Fry and Sean Bowen, and Neverbeen to Paris won on his first attempt over fences at Market Rasen. He has now won three times for owner Peter Claydon since being bought at the Newmarket HIT sales.

The talented Paloma Blue won over fences at Wexford for Chris Jones, Henry de Bromhead and Rachel Blackmore, he has a couple of nice targets for the season ahead.

KRB had a couple of nice debut winners over the last few weeks.Le Correzien won on his debut over hurdles in Dieppe for owner Ben Halsall and trainer Gabriel Leenders, and Duffle Coat won the juvenile hurdle at Punchestown easily for Gordon Elliott and Keith Donoghue. Both horses were purchased as yearlings.

KRB have been busy over the last few weeks buying stores, and flat yearlings for their clients, let’s hope we’re writing about them in the next few years!!
